One of my favorite things to do is schedule my days. I’m not super great at sticking to my schedule, but I enjoy thinking that I’m organized.
So here’s the deal- it finally happened! I got hired! Wahoo! Now I get to schedule my life again, and maybe I can get some real work done! I work two days a week, Wednesday and Friday, and if they need me on other days I will work that into my schedule.
The other fun thing I get to schedule is writing A Fairy’s Tale in addition to editing Powerful, critting on Scribophile, and blogging. It’s a lot to do, but I’m excited for the work.
- Sunday- Blog for Monday
- Monday- Write A Fairy’s Tale and critique on Scribophile
- Tuesday- Edit Powerful and do laundry
- Wednesday- Work!
- Thursday- Write blog post and edit Powerful
- Friday- Work!
I’m going to test it out next week and see how it goes. I haven’t worked a full day in a while, so I don’t know how I’ll feel on Thursday. Maybe I’ll be super restless and ready to get back to writing. Maybe I’ll be exhausted and not want to write at all. We’ll see! I might switch laundry day to Thursday and keep Tuesday a writing day. Who knows!
I’ll update you next week to see how it all goes!

Good luck with the schedule! My kids dictate what happens when in a day, but I can see how planning your weeks out like this would help you be productive.
Goodluck! This has inspired me to tinker with my schedule again.
I've been running around so much that keeping to a steady schedule has been impossible. I need to work out a different method for it, I think. Good luck with yours, and also with the new job!
Hi there! Such a wonderful article, thanks!
Could you tell me what style are you utilizing on your site?
It looks good.
